Literacy Narrative

I found myself picking up on a lot of minor details within my peer’s work at first. But once we covered thinking “globally” in class I began to see structure problems that could be fixed, and properly point them out to my peers. Although on the second round of peer review, I found myself agreeing with a lot of points brought up by the peer before me which made giving any sort of substantial  feedback difficult. I overcame this by reading through the paper once or twice more to really look for any structure problems that the first peer may have missed. By the end I was proud of my ability to provide good feedback to my classmates and elevate their papers. The in-class work helped me think of my paper generally, and boosted my confidence in my writing. The peer review helped my writing significantly, and I am sure it did the same for many other papers as well. The template we used forced me to look at the paper’s critically, and kept me from pointing out any grammatical errors. It allowed me to focus on what the paper was really trying to convey, and I am appreciative of it.
